Christmas Eve Snowshoeing

One of my oldest and greatest friends had the brilliant idea to snowshoe early Christmas eve morning. It had snowed all night like some sort of Christmas miracle and was beautiful.
Hanging out with J.J. is like old times. It is like we still see one another every single day even though it is more like every six months.

Love this trail. It is easy enough that it is relaxing.
J.J. is a champ for being knocked up and going on this adventure.
J.J. is hilarious. There is always something crazy that she does when we hang out.
Like the photo below. She said, "I need to stretch my legs. They hurt." This was the outcome. Makes complete sense right? Love it.

T. Pain

What creates a laugh slash smile like this?
The T. Pain app for the iPhone.
Hours upon hours of fun.
Yep, money buys happiness.
Also, these two are champs at freestyling.
Coincidentally enough this is the night when Nate stepped up being an even better friend by joining me in unemployment.
Little did we know the best months were yet to come.

2009 Family Christmas Party

I do not get to see my extended family much, but it is always a real treat when it happens.
I think kids hate pictures. Love it.

Cousins!
Technologically challenged group of three.
Working a camera is apparently rocket science.
Hilarious.

Siblings! Somehow it looks like we would rather not be related in this photo, but I still love my brothers the most.

2009 Christmas Celebration

-Behind on the blog. Slowly catching up.-
Once upon a time one of my best friends, Lauren, thought of this brilliant plan to get together with friends and walk around the city.
First we met at her house for coffee and pillow fights.
Then we hopped on Trax, which soon turned into complication.
Trax was blocked so we switched to a bus.
We clearly did not care.
Look at the happiness on the bus.

We finally made it to our first stop after trax, the bus, and a few blocks of walking.

Temple Square lights.
Then this guy walked past us. Remember that time when you wished you could walk around the temple with your snowboarding gear? Looks like one good time.

Did you know that the Walker Center lights up with different colors and flashes so that the whole city knows what the weather will be for the day/night?
Brilliant.
It is one of my favorite landmarks in the city.
Then we decided to go to dinner. There were many Santa's, elves, snowmen, and the like.
There is always a point in the night where Lauren gets super tired. She is not made for the nightlife. She is an early riser instead. Jealous. This is what her face looks like when it starts happening. Awesome.
Since some people were getting tired so we decided to part ways.
A few of us decided to go dancing.
When we pulled up to park Elisha said, "Oh look! It is a present!"
Quote of the night. Turns out it was not a present for us at all Elisha; just a festive parking meter.
Pre-dancing. That face of mine does not reflect the excitement that was bursting out of my dancing soul.

This night was beyond fun. Thanks to all of my great friends.
