Josh Payne Orchestra-February

One evening I was doing homework at the library. Or not doing homework. A status update popped up on Facebook from my friend Aaron. He was in town from New York and invited all to see Josh Payne Orchestra.
I was clearly not really doing homework so I decided to go.
I have always wondered what this particular cafe was like.
Cute!

If you ever get the chance to see them. Do it. Incredible, and like nothing you will experience.
Kids my age just do not play music like this anymore.
You will fall right in love.
These two joined me for the fun.

Food Club-February

Elisha came up with the idea to have a monthly food club.
The theme? Mormon food.
Funeral potatoes, jello mold, company carrots, and noodle casserole were among the eats.
Scott may or may not be overwhelmed with the amount of food.

Satan's eggs!

Birthday Month.....again!

Believe it. Another birthday party.
I do not know how I happened upon such thoughtful friends but I did.
Love it.
Dinner was made by the hostess with the mostess.
She also gave me the most incredible gifts.
My brother even pulled through and gave me a dress I have had my eye on.
Thank you to Fami for both of those, because we both know Josedo did not pick out that dress on his own.
Someone that is 31 loves a card like this.

Birthday party attendees.
If you look closely you will see the cake has a zero on it. Ageless! I will accept that every year.

Then there was this fur coat that everyone clearly needed to try on.
This is Ashley. She is rad.
If I ever decided to try the lesbian route; she will be first on my list to date slash marry.
Mr. Burns slash the vegan wearing a fur coat.
Gasp!

Fits like a glove on Gammy D.

Modeling one of my many birthday gifts.
I believe earrings look smashing on Josedo.
This night was awes. Thanks and thanks guys.

Birthday Month-Real Birthday!

I had many celebrations throughout the month. It is true. I am spoiled and have great friends.
On my real birthday I had no plans and most were out of town.
Sad face.
The whole day was kind of a disaster. Let's just say a group of boys should never be allowed to travel together. It is complete disarray.
At least I had Fami to help me out and I got an incredible mix CD out of the disaster.
At night Elisha and Quinn invited me over for a birthday surprise.
This was what was waiting for me.
What did I tell you? Incredible friends.
Thank you to Dani, Elisha, Quinn, and Scott for making my real birthday an awesome day.

Birthday Month-Surrogate Family Dinner

One January Sunday evening I was invited to celebrate my birthday with my surrogate family.
I used to be a nanny for this family and lived with them for many years.
They recently came back into my life.
They decided to throw a "30 second omelet" party Julia Childs style.
Excellent idea.

We watched Julia Childs make the omelet via video first to get some tips.
It is not as easy as it looks, but we got it down in about 45 seconds.
After dinner we played DJ Hero.
When I first met this young lad he was two. Now he is fifteen!
Bizarre.
Oh, and he likes all of the same music as I do now.
Extra bizarre.
Birthday cake with way too many candles.
I would rather not claim my real age.

This guy is all grown up too. He is an excellent pianist and smart as shiv.

We missed out on a group picture, but I had a great time with family and extended family.
Thank you!

Birthday Month-Trifecta Birthday Party

Two of my best friends share my birthday month. We decided to have a trifecta birthday party that included dinner and soul night dancing. Greatest idea ever.
Pre-dancing dinner.
I love my friends.

Trifecta!
Also, these guys are two of the best dancers I know.
Seriously.
Friends!

You would never know this guy is a regular comedian until you get to know him.
I love his daily lectures on getting a job, and I love the radom accents that escape from his mouth from time to time. He may even be my roommate someday. Luckiest!
Nate and I met this guy, Stephen, at a show one night.
He is from New York and was in town visiting.
He instantly became our friend.
He is that rad.
Some of my best girl friends right here.
Amazing dance moves ladies.

Brother sister bonding.
I was so happy he was in town for my birthday.
He can also shake a leg.
I love this picture. Everyone looks so awkward.

Thanks to everyone who made an appearance and made the night one of the best in my life.

Christmas 2009

Christmas started out with this guy stealing my favorite cup....again.
Yes, he sure does know that it is my favorite.
Maybe it is some sort of brother sister rivalry that provokes him to choose MY cup.

We scored this game. Fun! Fun! Fun!
The amount of building one Dad has to do on Christmas morning is perplexing.
So many ridiculous pieces.

Moms!
My brother is an amazing father. He is interested in everything his kids do.
During the holidays our childhood friend and his wife stopped by with their new baby.

Christmas Eve Snowshoeing

One of my oldest and greatest friends had the brilliant idea to snowshoe early Christmas eve morning. It had snowed all night like some sort of Christmas miracle and was beautiful.
Hanging out with J.J. is like old times. It is like we still see one another every single day even though it is more like every six months.

Love this trail. It is easy enough that it is relaxing.
J.J. is a champ for being knocked up and going on this adventure.
J.J. is hilarious. There is always something crazy that she does when we hang out.
Like the photo below. She said, "I need to stretch my legs. They hurt." This was the outcome. Makes complete sense right? Love it.
