Gammy D Gives Gifts

I bet you didn't know there is such a thing as a divorce-tini glass. There sure is and I was lucky enough to receive one as a gift.
That is right. I have the best friends around.
Here it is in all it's glory.

Comical.
Definitely in my top ten (top!) gifts of my life.
Thanks to one of the best friends ever created.

Fall Bonfire

This was the fall day where we were like, "Let's build a bonfire." Phyllis was like, "Uh. Uh. I don't know guys. That seems really dangerous." Hence the face below.

Then these guys were like, "Oh Phyllis Bill Willis William Tuddenham. Quit being such a baby. You are blowing it for bonfire night." Then they cheered, "Let's just do it."
So they co-created a romantic fire for all. Except that it was not romantic for most. But! It was still a scream of a time.

Song Love. Lyric Love.

Passion Pit

This show was a danceable disaster for me, but still so much fun while it lasted.

Passion Pit (or MGM-Pit as Jordan calls them) performing their hits.

Someone accidentally stole the set list. Good job Elisha.
Better Things....second to last song and my favorite.

Girl's night out.
I was so happy Sara from high school was able to join us.
It was practically high school reunion night.

No Sad Shad on this night. How great does Happy Shad look?
Practically glowing.
I love this photo because of Phyllis and the striped stranger in the background.
Imagine my surprise when Spencer, whom I had not seen since high school, was at Urban.
Wait. It gets better.
Then Jordan, also from high school, was there....in a matching shirt.
Cute couple.
So happy to see them.
Annik was also there with her amazing dance moves. Another friend I met in high school.
Who would have known MGM-Pit could create such unity?
I loved every minute of seeing these people dancing their hearts out.

Videograss Premiere

Every winter I go to see my brother do crazy snowboarding tricks in movies.
Family support alert.
It always freaks me out.
Do not even get me started on the Love/Hate video where he is filmed smashing his face in and breaking his eye socket. Not great and disgusting, but whatever, he is good at it.
These movies take me back to skiing every Saturday as kids. Always the Mom I was sure to yell at him with each absurd jump choice for a seven year old. That yell scares him to this day. We were both crazy, but he was and is fearless.
I am so proud of him and his success. As he says, "I have my dream job guys."
L.U.C.K.Y.
This is how they prepare to see the movie.
True love.

After the movie. Wait. How about mid movie they wanted to leave. That is right. I did not even get to see it all. Apparently that is what DVD's are for they say. We went to Este for some delicious vegan pizza.
This is how Phyllis and I felt about pizza and hanging out. Two of three best friends!
Then we went to meet these guys at the Bayou. Terrible picture, but I do not care. Mostly because Matt is pointing at the camera like he owns it.
This guy makes the most incredible steak and eggs you will ever eat. He is a real treasure that can tell incredible stories that can make anyone laugh.

Oh and Shad joined us to talk shop.

The end.

Sharing is Caring

Once my friend and I went shopping for home goods.
Instead of anything homey we found this gift.
It is like Mad Libs, but in ceramic home goods gift giving form.
I sure do love Mad Libs; however, I cannot take credit for the words filled in.
I am just not that funny.
The recipient is one lucky friend.

Shark Week

This is what an average trifecta coffee night looks like.
Looks like a lot of fun.
It always is at this house.

It is waaaaay more animated and creative than I could ever be.

Newfound Dog Love

Turns out there is one dog that change my cold hearted ways of throwing up when I am around dogs. Yes, it is true. I actually heart a dog. His name is Hector. He is the best dog that has ever lived.
I was invited to dog sit his cuteness for one solid week. Best week ever. Well except the part where I was laid off, but that doesn't count in the best department. Plus! I got to hang out in Salt Lake all week.
Below is the batty, yet priceless, note I received upon entering the house to hang out with Hector. Dog sitting in 2009 is like being a teenager again. Pizza money!

Mostly I love the drawing of the HDMI cable on this one.

Ming and Ping

Early on in the fall of 09' Ming and Ping came to town.
The last time I saw them it was one big dance party, and everyone knows I hate to miss a good dance party.

Fall of 09' was no different.

Dear Ming and Ping,

I love the way you dress and dancing to your hits.

One of the best decisions I have ever made was to work at Nordstrom. I met some enjoyable people/besties; two of which are missing from the picture below.

This guy went to my high school.
We were not that close then, but we are good friends now.
Sometimes we bowl. Sometimes we text battle.
It is way better than being in high school.

Dance off central.
I am pretty sure Drew is dictating dance moves here.
I was T minus five seconds from executing them, and clearly happy about it.

This guy is an incredible photographer and fun to hang out with.
You might be lucky to meet him, but he recently disappeared due to love.
Good luck finding him.

Once upon a time my nephew left the following note on top of his suitcase before a family vacation.
Translation: "Do not put this book in the suitcase. Love Brady"
Sop kaks! Best new word for a suitcase in the history of cool new words.
Kids equal funny.

Birthday Party

In September this little guy, who is no longer little, had a birthday. We went to Pirate Island which is a pirate themed restaurant slash center of fun.
I love my nephew.
He is probably going to invent something incredible for the construction industry one day. He is genius in the ways of Bob the Builder.
This is his pirate face.
His little brother could not resist getting in on the pirate look either.
Killed it.
Thumbs up to Pirate Island.

Why? Because they have paper hats, skeeball, and the timed hoop shooting basketball game.

I like to try and beat my both of my brother's scores.

It is called sibling rivalry. We have a touch of it...or maybe I just have a touch of it.

Somehow I am always a few points behind in sporty spice-ness.

It is okay though, because look how happy we are being pirates.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's

Fun. Fun. Fun.
